Barack Obama’s economic policies would hurt the economy

Barack Obama’s economic policies would hurt the economy. As Kimberly Strassel recently put it in the Wall Street Journal: “Mr. Obama is hawking a tax policy that would take the nation back to the effective marginal tax rates of the Carter days. He wants to further tax income, payroll, capital gains, dividends and death. His philosophy is pure redistribution.”

When Barack Obama speaks of taxing only the wealthy, keep in mind this could have a devastating effect on new small businesses. As Irwin Stelzer has written: “Taxes change behavior. By raising rates on upper income payers, Obama is reducing their incentive to work and take risks. The income tax increase is not all that he has in mind for them. He plans to increase their payroll taxes, the taxes they pay on dividends received and capital gains earned, and on any transfers they might have in mind to their kith and kin when they shuffle off this mortal coil. If the aggregate of these additional taxes substantially diminishes incentives to set up a small business of the sort that has created most of the new jobs in recent decades, the $1,000 tax rebate will be more than offset by the consequences of reduced growth and new business formation.”

Good bye again!

This is Ryan's home. He lives's with 5,000 other people. I just wanted to say Thanks to everyone that has served in the military for giving up your good life, and giving me a free one.

PLEASE READ

"The other day I was reading Newsweek magazine and came across some polldata I found rather hard to believe. It must be true given the source, right? The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy withThe direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country isunhappywith the performance of the president. In essence 2/3s of the citizenryjust ain't happy and want a change. So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, ''What we are sounhappy about?''Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 daysA week? Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in thesummer and heating in the winter? Could it be that 95.4 percent of theseunhappy folks have a job? Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocerystore at any time and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen inthe last year?Maybe it is the ability to drive from the Pacific Ocean to the AtlanticOcean without having to present identification papers as we move througheach state? Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels wewould find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from aroundThe world is just not good enough. Or could it be that when we wreckourcar, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all andevensend a helicopter to take you to the hospital.Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home. YouMay be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, agroup oftrained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipmentto extinguish the flames thus saving you, your family and yourbelongings.Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, aburglar or prowler intrudes , an officer equipped with a gun and abullet-proofvest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.Thisall in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias rapingandpillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where 90 percent of teenagers owncell phones and computers. How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoythat are the envy of everyone in the world? Maybe that is what has 67percent of you folks unhappy.Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the worldHas ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S. , yet has a greatDisdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are. The mostblessedpeople in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have, andwhat we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we livehere.I know, I know. What about the President who took us into war and hasNo plan to get us out? The President who has a measly 31 percentapprovalrating? Is this the same President who guided the nation in the darkdays after 9/11? The President that cut taxes to bring an economy outofrecession? Could this be the same guy who has been called every name inthe book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful bratssafefrom terrorist attacks? The commander in chief of an all-volunteer army that is out thereDefending you and me? Did you hear how bad the President is on the newsor talkshow?Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn't takeA look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad?Think about it......are you upset at the President because he actuallycaused you personal pain OR is it because the "Media" told you he wasfailing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day.Make no mistake about it. The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan havevolunteered to serve, and in many cases may have died for your freedom. There is currently no draft in this country. They didn't have to go.They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a ''general''discharge, an ''other than honorable'' discharge or, worst casescenario, a ''dishonorable'' discharge after a few days in the brig.So why then the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent ofAmericans? Say what you want but I blame it on the media. If it bleedsIt leads and they specialize in bad news. Everybody will watch a carcrashwith blood and guts. How many will watch kids selling lemonade at thecorner? The media knows this and media outlets are for-profitcorporations.They offer what sells , and when criticized, try to defend their actionsBy "justifying" them in one way or another. Just ask why they tried toallow a murderer like O.J. Simpson to write a book about how he didn'tkill hiswife, but if he did he would have done it this way......Insane!Stop buying the negativism you are fed everyday by the media. Shut offThe TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New York Times for the bottom of yourBird cage. Then start being grateful for all we have as a country. There isexponentially more good than bad.We are among the most blessed people on Earth and should thank GodSeveral times a day, or at least be thankful and appreciative.""With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, andwith the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, "Are we sure this isa good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"

New Home!!

Our new house is finally done!! we are so excited to move into it!! but there is one thing that stinks our date to move is the day Ryan Leaves for the boat! We have to be to be completely moved out of our old house the day he gets home. Oh well I know it will all work out some how. I really am going to miss my old home in so many ways. I have worked very hard on getting it the way I wanted it. I think I am going to cry the day they take it down. oh yeah I have to move out of my house because it is so old it was painted with led paint, and has asbestos. yeah I did not even know what that was until after I moved in hahaha. But I did love that it was all tile. so when Colby's spills something it is super easy to clean up. or when the dogs run in with muddy feet (since it's always raining) I am also going to miss the view, I am right next to the ocean I look out side my back window and it's right there. I am so blessed to have what I have. my amazing husband, and the best little boy I could ever ask for.

Update.

We are still living in Washington. Ryan is still in the Navy so he is always in a new place! He is home as of now, but next month he will be gone again for about a month. than in January is the real deal again he will be gone anywhere from 6 to 8 months. Maybe longer. We never know. Ryan is still coaching his football team. They have not lost a game yet. We will see how next week goes. The team they will be playing has also not lost a game. Ryan got promoted a few month ago so we are pretty excited about that. He was the only one from his command. But I guess that personnel was the last to hear about it because they forgot to pay us for the new rank! That's OK. Colby is now two years old as most of you know. He loves Monster trucks and the movie Cars. Colby is still just a smiley as he has always been. He loves all animals and loves people. He will talk to anyone. It kind of scares me sometimes. He also loves going to daycare. Yes Colby is in daycare. It really is very good for him since he is an only child. He has learned so much. He is so smart. As for me I am working at a veterinary hospital, and I love it. I now have a job that I love and that I can do where ever I go! Ryan and I miss Arizona so much, and would do anything to be home. No matter were the Navy has moved us . There is no place like home. I miss out on so much. Like Brittany's wedding. yeah I am still mad that I did not get to go, but I do love all the phone calls. (Amanda haha) I love my mom's call's the most she always makes me feel so good. It's as if she knows when I have had a bad day because as soon as I am home she is calling me and boost me up! Well that's about it for us. We don't do a whole lot. When people tell you that having a baby will change your life it is so true. We spend most of our free time at a park. and when we want to go to dinner we end up going to a nice dinner at chucky cheese or McDonald's!

best friend!

This is my best friend! I never see him, but I kind of like him! he really is the best!
Look how big she is!

Hair cut!

This is for Kristie and Carrie. Ya I suck at taking my own picture! miss you guys!!

Ryan's love!

This is Ryan football team. the love of his life! he spends all his time and thoughts into this team. Yeah im a little jelouse can you tell? but he is happy doing it, so that makes me happy, and the kids just love him. I also have got to know allot of the team's family. And now I don't want to leave Washington. I am really starting to love this place. Colby also love's the team. He goes with Ryan to practice for an hour each day till I get off work. and he thinks he is part of the team. He kills me at the games because he thinks he should be out playing with the boy's like he does at practice! someday soon we keep telling him, but he does not understand! I can't wait till next year. Ryan's team has not lost a game yet!! Four games down, Three to go. So far the Jaguars have been impressive offensively and defensively, lets work on keeping that going!

Colby loves fish so that's one of the things we got him for his birthday.

Terrible two's

Colby is now two years old. Wow how time flies! we did not have much of a birthday party this year. We had a big one last year. I know he is only two, but it seems like yesterday that I was in the hospital with him. he is such a good, smart, clean little boy. I know at times he drives me crazy, but I am so blessed to have him in my life. Colby is now talking like crazy he pretty much says everything. he can now count to 4 no joke. he keeps his room nice and clean. I don't think I have ever seen a little boy that is so clean.. I wish he could stay my little boy forever...

Redneck

We have enjoyed the redneck jokes for years. It's time to take a reflective look at the core beliefs of a culture that values home, family, country and God. If I had to stand before a dozen terrorists who threaten my life, I'd choose a half dozen or so rednecks to back me up. Tire irons, squirrel guns and grit -- that's what rednecks are made of. I hope I am one of those.

.
You might be a redneck if: It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, 'One nation, under God.'

You might be a redneck if: You've never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places.

You might be a redneck if: You still say ' Christmas' instead of 'Winter Festival.'

You might be a redneck if: You bow your head when someone prays.

You might be a redneck if: You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem.

You might be a redneck if: You treat our armed forces veterans with great respect, and always have.

You might be a redneck if: You've never burned an American flag, nor intend to.

You might be a redneck if: You know what you believe and you aren't afraid to say so, no matter who is listening.

You might be a redneck if: You respect your elders and raised your kids to do the same.

You might be a redneck if: You'd give your last dollar to a friend.

You might be a redneck if: You believe Jesus is the Son of God.
